New construction
Anchored into a single-piece granite slab. Every point was measured and marked before drilling. The hood ended up centered with the upper cabinet and airflow tested.

2. Gas cooktop with a downdraft vent
Full replacement
The old cooktop came out, the cutout was cleaned and prepared, and the new cooktop went in along with a downdraft vent that rises from the countertop. The burners were tested before we finished.
3. Island hood suspended from the ceiling
Ducted through the roof
Frame, ductwork and hood built from scratch over an island. The duct ended up hidden inside the hood chase and the unit came out perfectly plumb.
4. Pro-style hood in a high-end kitchen
Over a quartz backsplash
Mounted over a quartz backsplash, leveled and left plumb. On this kind of surface there is no second chance: every hole is measured twice.
5. Hood and microwave, both vented outside
Kitchen remodel
Two units in the same kitchen, both vented to the outside. The cabinet above the microwave was reinforced to carry the weight.
